Umrah from the UAE: the details to confirm before paying

A quote-by-quote checklist covering permits, transport, hotels, room occupancy, meals and cancellation terms.

Kaaba and Grand Mosque courtyard in Makkah

Two Umrah packages can use the same headline but offer very different journeys. Before paying, ask for a dated itinerary that identifies every material inclusion and exclusion.

Transport and border plan

Confirm the departure city, exact pickup point, reporting time, vehicle type, luggage allowance, border route and what happens if formalities take longer than expected.

Hotel and room basis

Request the hotel name or standard, walking or transfer arrangement, check-in dates, number of nights, room occupancy and meal plan. “Near Haram” is not a substitute for a named hotel and distance.

Visa and permit responsibilities

Confirm which party handles visa assistance and whether the traveller must obtain a Nusuk permit. Permit availability and Saudi restrictions can change, especially around Hajj periods.

Price and cancellation

The quotation should identify all charges, deposit timing, balance due date, cancellation deductions and which third-party payments become non-refundable once issued.

Health and personal preparation

Check current official health guidance, carry prescribed medicines correctly and plan for the physical demands of the journey. Requirements can depend on origin and travel history.

Travel and visa rules can change. Use the official Saudi eVisa, Visit Saudi and Nusuk channels for the final check before applying or travelling.
